Nail Enemies - Misusing Your NailsAggressive handling
I can't think of anyone who actually wants to ruin their nails. Yet in an attempt to keep our nails looking groomed, many of us go overboard. We gouge dirt from under the plate, stab at cuticles with a sharp implement (or worse, cut cuticles away), file nails down to the quick, or pull at ugly hansnails. In short, our good intentions can actually damage our nails.
Toenail Looks – Some Blunt ActualsOnychomycosis, or fungal infection of the nail, is the most customary of the toenail complaint, and believably the most nasty. In onychomycosis, a fungus gains an entry to the covered-up area below the nail and starts to flourish, drawing nutrients from the nail itself and breaking through the source of the nail. Toenails turn large numbers shades of yellow, brown and black, and get weak. Untreated, the fungus can establish to neighboring nails of both the hands and feet, and even to the skin enveloping the infected nail.
